A Luxury Guide to NY

A Luxury Guide to NY

Agatha Christie once said "Setting a detective story in New York City is absurd. New York City is a detective story all by itself." We’re here to share some of our favourite spots to dine, drink, and even sleep in the city that never sleeps.

New York is also known for being the city of dreams. Many of our clientele say going shopping on Fifth Avenue, having a coffee while walking through Central Park, eating sushi in an exquisite restaurant in Soho is the dream. Who are we to disagree, even if we wanted to. If that plan has sounded good to you, and why wouldn’t it, then let's make your dream a reality!

NYC is renowned for its tourist attractions. The most famous being the likes of Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building to name but a few. From quirky diners in Brooklyn to Michelin-starred restaurants in Grand Central Station, a trip to New York is one worth taking.

If you're a first-time visitor to New York, you need not worry! We are here to help.

It is after all one of the best cities on earth, and you'll find an endless amount of information on what to see, eat, and do.

Times Square

Every season in New York has its pros and cons. As a first timer in the Big Apple, it really comes down to how you want your experience to be. Here are some vital things to consider as you decide when and where to visit NY:

The summer is typically the busiest and most crowded season for visiting the city. On the other hand, April, May, late September, October and early November are our favourite months to visit New York City. The city is most beautiful during the spring blooming season, and during the stunning autumn foliage. The weather is also comfortable during spring and fall, suitable for spending time outdoors, and there aren't as many tourists and crowds as during the summer. It’s a unique way to see how this city breathes like no other.

The first thing you should know about New York City is that it has five boroughs - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island.  Each borough has smaller neighbourhoods, such as Soho in Manhattan or Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Each unique and distinct in their own vibrant ways with much to offer.

Undoubtedly New York has many essential facets to explore, and here are some of our recommendations.

Fifth Avenue

Shopping lovers, what better place to display our artistic lifestyle than to walk through our favourite stores on the one and only 5th Avenue.

5th Avenue

5th Avenue is known worldwide for being an avenue full of luxury and style, we never get tired of seeing icons like Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl and various famous faces passing with their designer bags through what is the best-known avenue in the world. We have many options so you can choose what’s a better suit for you, or just go to all of them!

Madison Avenue

Madison Avenue, especially between 57th and 89th Streets is without a doubt a necessary stop in the Manhattan area, you can enjoy big brands like Hermes, Goyard and try on the best shoes like Italian designer Gianvito Rossi.

Hudson Yards

Our next stop is Hudson Yards, a luxury brand shopping centre, where you can enjoy an endless list of brands, from the largest to the smallest, both chic, super stylish, and splendid.

What better way to relax after such an intense day of shopping, why not grab a coffee and go for a relaxing walk in what is undoubtedly the best park in New York?

We recommend a coffee to go at the Birch Café, right next to the entrance of central park and then enjoy some nature in the park.

Without a doubt, another key place the Big Apple has to offer when it comes to nature walks, is the wonderful Central Park. Central Park can even be described as the lungs of the City that Never Sleeps. We love parks and central park is definitely like everything else in New York, vibrant and full of life.

Hungry? let’s have a look at some restaurants

The Big Apple offers many things, and needless to say, restaurants full of delicious cuisine is no exception.

Le Cou Cou

Just next to the Mandarin Oriental, straight away to Soho. We recommend you partake in lunch at Le Cou Cou restaurant. One of the most acclaimed French cuisine restaurants on the entire city.

Le Cou Cou NYC

Le Cou Cou is a European gastronomic restaurant created by chef Daniel Rose. After his extensive experience in France learning the best European delicacies came about the birth of the infamous Le Cou Cou. Undoubtedly a great choice if you want an exquisite fusion between the city of light and the big apple.

Masa NYC

Masa is Chef Masa's distinguished Japanese restaurant. The chef comes from a background of apprentice master chefs well known for their impeccable skills in the preparation of sushi, such as Sugiyama Toshiaki. The Masa restaurant is undoubtedly the best option if you are a lover of Japanese cuisine. They await you at Circle Columbus in the Midtown West area.
