El Yunque Puerto Rico
El Yunque National Forest, formerly known as the Caribbean National Forest, is located in Sierra de Luquillo. The forest gets its name from an Indian spirit Yuquiyu which translates to "Forest of Clouds". It is one of the smallest rainforests, and the only tropical forest in the United States National Forest System. But it has a densely populated habitat with over 240 species (26 species are found only in this forest) and trees and plants.
Toro Verde Nature Adventure Park
Toro Verde Adventure Park is home to Puerto Rico’s highest peak, which attract hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts, including those who enjoy the adrenalin rush of zip-lining. It’s been said that this is the longest zip line in the world. Enjoy the thrill of the zipline whilst at a birds-eye view of the park.
Sun Bay Beach
Vieques Island is another Spanish Virgin Island destination surrounded by gorgeous stretches of sand and beach. Just eight miles from Puerto Rico's mainland, Isla Vieques is home to beautiful Sun Bay Beach. It is one of the island’s most popular beaches with easily accessible parking, public toilets and showers.
The island is also known for a unique experience that happens on certain nights at Bioluminescent Bay. The water in the bay glows from the movement of a large concentration of phosphorescent dinoflagellates. To experience this natural wonder, you can join an after dark tour in a boat, canoe, or kayak.
