Jeffrey Koons

Jeff Koons is one of the most famous contemporary artists. His work carries out the transformation of banal and mundane objects into fine art, which will become icons of modern art. Koons draws inspiration from concepts such as the media and celebrities. His goal is to create a mirror of society where he shows the contradictions of the human being. Bearbricks

Many of you will wonder… what are the Bearbricks?

The Bearbricks are a series of collectible figures created by the Japanese company Medicom Toy. All these figures are in the form of an anthropomorphic bear. Most of them are made up of different removable parts: the legs, the head, and the arms are articulated.

The first Bearbrick figure was created in 2001 for the World Character Convention 12 in Tokyo. Since then, this plastic model has become a worldwide pop phenomenon. Many brands like Gucci or Supreme and artists have collaborated with Medicom Toy to offer Bearbricks in their own colors. Currently, some of these exclusive figures cost thousands of dollars.

Miquel Barcelo

Miquel Barceló is an artist of Catalan origin, recognized for his installation on the ceiling of the Palace of Human Rights and the Alliance of Civilizations of the UN Palace of Nations in Geneva. Since then Miquel has devastated the most recognized art galleries and museums in the world, showing the creation of his art, which without a doubt is personal and unique. His work explores metamorphosis, decomposition and the passage of time in an abstract way. Luo Zhongli

Luo Zhongli is one of the most recognized contemporary realist artists today. Unlike other abstract face artists, Zhongli's photorealistic portraits of faces from southwestern China have stirred emotions in people all over the world. You will probably recognize him from the famous portrait of him "Father" where we can find the face of a Chinese peasant recreated in impressive detail. Zhongli is one of the most acclaimed artists by Chinese art collectors.

George Condo

Rudolph Stingel

Rudolf Stingel is an Italian artist based in New York. His contemporary painting style has been questioned throughout his career, but Stingel created one thing from this, he wanted his works to create a dialogue and from that dialogue he would produce more art. After his art was exhibited at the Whitney Museum in New York in 2007, prices for his works skyrocketed, making him one of the most acclaimed contemporary artists.

Christopher Wool

Christopher Wool made a name for himself in the New York contemporary fine art industry in the 1980s. His works are shocking and impulsive and this shocked critics. His most recognized works are on a white canvas and with powerful letters in black. His works like Apocalypse Now (“Sell the house, sell the car, sell the kids”) and If You (“If you can't take a joke, you can get the hell out of my house”) grossed between $15 million and $30 million at Christie's. . Jean-Michel Basquiat

Basquiat was undoubtedly one of the most recognized contemporary artists on the contemporary art scene, being the most acclaimed artist of African descent to date. Peter Doig

In 2002 after moving back to Trinidad he opened his first studio and shortly after in 2007 he sold his work “White Canoe” for $11.3 million making him (for the time) the most sought after contemporary European artist.
